Prairie
Winds Art Center first opened its doors in 1997 after undergoing restoration,
and is located in the heart of an historic district in downtown Grand Island,
Nebraska, which will soon be undergoing an "Old Towne" unique development
during the next few years.

become a member of Prairie Winds,
an artist must be a Midwest artist, and submit a portfolio of works that
will be judged by current members. High quality and original works
are the main criteria. To submit and request more information, please

Prairie Winds Announces Holiday Consignors
The Prairie Winds Art Center, 112 W. 3rd Street,
Grand Island, NE. is pleased to announce the addition of the following
consignors. They will be displaying their creative art works during
this Holiday Season. In keeping with the excellence of the artists
chosen by the art center, these artists are Shirley Shirley, of Kansas,
who makes small intricate beaded pouches, Dawn Hesnault, of Grand Island,
who makes fused glass jewelry, Bob Hanna, of Lincoln, who does Nostalgic
Nebraska related drawings and watercolors (he also has a book) , and Roselyn
Dunagan and Lillian Cronin, both of Grand Island, who do hand made
2 and 3 dimensional paper creations. In addition, George Ayoub of
Grand Island and Michael Foresberg, of Lincoln, have books which
are now available for our customers.
Their members will also have holiday related
art works to view and enjoy. A free hand made holiday ornament will be
given to every purchasing customer in appreciation of their support of
the visual arts in our community.
