| Polaroid instant pictures are as far from impressionistic painting
as you can get. Yet, in the hands of Cindy Stec, they become not
unlike Monet or Van Gogh. Cindy has been experimenting with photography
for many years and with Polaroid impressions since 1996. Her first
subject matter was two dozen-anniversary roses. This started a passion
in her that has continued and now includes children, storefronts and farm
scenes. |
Now Stec is achieving prominence locally and is photographing and manipulating
Polaroids on a commission basis. Works include limited edition prints
and reproductions framed and unframed. Some even come framed
with the original SX-70 Polaroid photo. |
